The core element of the swiss air blower respiratory protection system from optrel is a ventilated half mask that completely covers the mouth and nose area and supplies it with purified air. An airspace is created around the mouth and nose, which, thanks to overpressure, supports the user’s breathing and eliminates the exhausting breathing resistance.

The half mask, made from high-tech fabric, is designed so that it can be individually and perfectly adjusted thanks to a freely adjustable head strap. This concept eliminates the need for elaborate fit tests, which are common with conventional half masks. The clean air is supplied via a Y-tube from a miniaturized blower system, which is comfortably worn on the back by a carrying unit. In this way, the user is constantly in an “overpressure air system,” which permanently protects their airways against contaminated air.
