No compromises. TransSteel multiprocess.

The TransSteel 2200 is a compact, 3-in-1 solution. It is the first single-phase inverter power source from Fronius that is also multiprocess-capable, bringing together MMA, MIG/MAG and TIG in a single device. The TransSteel 2200 is characterised by the intelligent design of the device, ease of use, robustness and a high level of reliability. Weighing only 15.5 kg, it is also one of the lightest devices on the market.

One device – for all manual welding applications

Combining MIG/MAG, TIG, and electrode welding in one device means you no longer have to purchase any other power sources. There is absolutely no difference in the welding performance of the respective process compared with a dedicated device.

118 characteristics*

/ Steel, CrNi, AlMg, AlSi, Metal Cored, Rutil FCW, Basic FCW, self-shielded wires / 0.8 – 1.2 mm wire diameter / Eight different gas mixtures

Ready to weld in three steps

The intuitive operating concept enables welders to start work straight away – no prior knowledge of the device is required. All the essential welding parameters can be viewed and adjusted on the front panel. The only parameters that have to be selected before welding begins are the gas, wire diameter and material thickness.
Integrated Polarity Reverser
By reconnecting the integrated polarity reverser, flux core wires of different polarities can also be welded.
Integrated Wearing Parts Box
A wearing parts box integrated in the housing of the power source is a handy storage tool.

Machine Functions:

TAC
With TAC, one spot is all it takes for tacking, because the pulsed arc sets the two weld pools in motion, making them jump together in next to no time, to make one single weld-pool. The TAC function is also very useful when welding light-gauge sheets without filler metal.
Spot & Interval Welding
Spot and interval welding are ideal for applications where thin sheets need to be welded, as the heat input is not so high. The arc intervals can be adjusted to suit the individual requirements and are applied to the workpiece with complete consistency.
Touchdown Ignition
Touchdown ignition can be used in particular for sensitive application areas. This allows electromagnetic interference, which can occur during HF ignition, to be avoided.
