TPSi Compact Pulse — The ultimate in flexibility

With the TPS 270i C and the TPS 320i C, Fronius has succeeded in packing all the advantages of the TPS/i range into an even more compact design. These new compact versions complete the lower end of the TPS/i power spectrum in perfect fashion. Owing to their compact dimensions and built-in wirefeeder, they are a space-saving, portable and yet extremely powerful alternative to other members of the TPS/i series for construction sites and workshops in particular. With their broad range of applications, the TPS 270i C and the TPS 320i C are the ideal partners for carrying out repair work and maintenance tasks.

Depending on the welding requirements, the TPS/i can be equipped with different software packages, known as Welding Packages—from the introductory package to the high-end solution. The modular structure and regular software updates expand the system’s range of functions, providing the user with the perfect configuration to suit every challenge. The standard or pulse processes are available as basic packages. The advanced Welding Packages LSC, PMC, or CMT, are available for particularly demanding welding tasks.

Standard

The Standard package includes the dip transfer arc and the spray arc. Easy to use and suitable across the entire performance spectrum of unalloyed, low- and high-alloy materials.

Pulse

The Pulse package from Fronius facilitates pulsed arc welding. This guarantees low levels of spattering as well as a variable working range (light gage to thick gage sheets).

LSC—Low Spatter Control

LSC is a MIG/MAG welding process with high arc stability and reduced spattering in the dip transfer arc. In addition, the penetration stabilizer enables constant penetration in the spray arc, regardless of any possible stick out change. More about LSC

PMC—Pulse Multi Control

PMC is a modified pulsed arc used in MIG/MAG welding. It utilizes penetration and arc length stabilizers to guarantee both higher weld seam quality and faster welding speeds. More about PMC

When purchasing a new device, all Welding Packages and all options are provided free of charge for 50 arc hours.

A new world of communication

The Fronius TPS/i Compact Pulse is more than a tool, it is a partner that communicates with the outside world in several different ways. The plain text display describes and informs about machine parameters. The system automatically identifies connected components and warns if the component is not compatible.

With JobMaster torches with display, you can control the equipment from the welding site. Remote maintenance and system analysis can be performed via the Internet.

The graphical user interface makes the machine so easy and intuitive to use. It is extremely robust and you can use it with gloves on.
Automatic component identification: easy connection without tools! because the machine automatically recognizes available components.
The JobMaster control functions on the machine display are found on the torch, which is ideal for longer distances to the power source.

TPS/i – Multi-process

Like the other machines in the TPS/i series, the TPS 270i C and TPS 320i C have access to the welding processes for MIG/MAG (steel, CrNi, aluminum), MIG brazing, TIG DC and MMA. In addition, there is a wide range of optional processes such as installation packages for TIG or polarity reversal for flux-cored welding.

Superior welding properties

The central functions of TPS/i Compact Pulse are completely newly developed.

TPS/i Compact Pulse has a fast processor that enables measurements and analyses of multiple variables and allows it to control processes with higher precision. This provides many positive effects! e.g. less spatter during short arc welding, improved droplet removal, more stable arc with higher welding speed, improved ignition properties etc.
bridge4
SpeedNet The high-speed bus is an internal system network. The network makes data exchange between system components a full 200 times faster!
bridge5
A completely new cooling concept, right up to the torch’s gas nozzle. For cooler, more precise work and longer service life of wearing parts.

TPS/i Compact Pulse – Module concept

TPS/in processes

One machine – endless possibilities. Both the TPS 270i C and 320i C are modular. This means that the core of the machine is future-proof. A standard module that you can easily expand on. The TPS 270i C and TPS 320i C have synergy lines for pulse welding and the SyncroPulse function as standard. Other TPS/i processes, such as LSC, Standard and PMC, are available as options. New synergy lines or updated firmware can be easily loaded from a USB stick or network. The modular structure makes TPS/i ready for the future.
bridge6
Upgrading with new processes, synergy lines, functions, firmware, etc. is easily done from a USB memory stick or network.
bridge7
The combination of upgradability and high-performance hardware makes TPS/i state of the art for many years to come.

TIP!

The new compact Pull-MIG torch, together with the compact versions of the TPS/i, is the ideal combination for soft filler materials! E.g. Aluminum, CuSi3. Maximum wire feed stability even with long hose packages.
